Yes, but is it not prone to groupthink? You should have seen how I got treated, all the trollratings, when I suggested that Al Gore was not a great environmentalist because, for example of his support for dumping half a billion dollars worth of herbicides in to rain forests as part of Plan Colombia. Trollrated and redbaited. But true, it is a great place to meet people. You, for example. What if it went Green? That would be revolutionary. Couldn't the Greens start something as interactive and loquacious as that? Ironically, the people with more power are also more unafraid to speak with loose lips, despite the greater respectability they want to attach to themselves. As you say though, it's a great way to meet people. The other week I met someone on dailykos that I hadn't seen for about ten years.
