The whole approach to Iraq has been that the United States doesn't really trust any of them even though it wishes to be hailed as liberators. Why else did they wall themselves off in the green zone? How can you liberate a country if you wall yourself off from its people? It's totally ridiculous and Democrats have as much blame as Republicans for perpetuating this war. Hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars devoted to war that could be devoted to saving millions of lives through health care, nurturing actual fledgling democracies and preserving ecologies around the world.
Yep. The "liberator" stuff is of course just cheap propaganda, they mean to oppress Iraq and its people.
