MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE REMAKE
I saw the remake of "The Manchurian Candidate" this weekend. It's fun to follow this movie's plot to its grim end; what's really amusing about it, though, is the paranoid world which it paints. Terrorism has become normal; all of the bad trends of the present have become amplified. Corporations have taken over. Another movie not pointing the way to social change; but this is about rogue corporations whose power-players manipulate individuals and the world.
